Ex-DREAM THEATER Keyboardist Scores New Turkish Movie - Dec. 6, 2006
Kevin Moore (DREAM THEATER, O.S.I., CHROMA KEY) has written and produced the soundtrack to new a Turkish movie called "Küçük Kiyamet" (roughly translated as "Little Apocalypse"; the film's official English title has not yet been confirmed). The keyboard player, who currently resides in Istanbul, previously wrote the soundtrack to the movie "Okul", which was released through Inside Out Music under the title "Ghost Book".
Moore collaborated with directors Durul Taylan and Yagmur Taylan (who are known professionally as the Taylan Brothers in Turkey) once again for this new psychological thriller/horror movie, which is said to be based on the earthquake fear of the Turkish people. The cast includes some of the country's most important actors and actresses, such as Basak Köklükaya, Cansel Elçin and Ilker Aksum. The screenplay was created by Dogu Yücel, who also wrote "Okul". It is not presently clear if the soundtrack will be released outside Turkey.
"Küçük Kiyamet" will receive a theatrical release in Turkey on December 22. After that, the movie will be released in Europe with limited distribution. You can download the trailer from the movie's official site, www.kucukkiyamet.com, or watch the trailer online at YouTube.com.
